To be honest I only found out yesterday that you could enter the term required in months or years. When sourcing for say 15 years 6 months I would source at 15 or 16 years. Knowing now that you can enter months OR years, it would make sense to have 2 boxes so you can enter years AND months. Easier to enter and saves having to calculate how many months are in X number of years and months.
